LED (Light Emitting Diode) Therapy is a non-invasive, clinically proven treatment that uses therapeutic wavelengths of light energy to rejuvenate, repair and revitalise the skin. At Perfectus Derma Aesthetics, we use the Dermalux MD FLEX, a medical-grade LED system renowned for its safety, precision and effectiveness.
This technology harnesses the power of red, blue, and near-infrared light to target various skin concerns at a cellular level. Red light stimulates collagen production and improves skin tone and texture, blue light eliminates acne-causing bacteria and calms inflammation, while near-infrared light promotes tissue repair and reduces redness.
Together, these wavelengths help to boost skin health, accelerate healing, reduce breakouts and restore a radiant, youthful complexion, all without pain, heat, or downtime.
Before beginning LED therapy, a thorough skin consultation is carried out to assess your individual needs and ensure the most appropriate light wavelengths are selected for your treatment. This allows us to tailor your session to effectively target your specific skin concerns.
During the procedure, the Dermalux MD FLEX canopy is positioned over the treatment area while you relax comfortably beneath the light. Each session lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes, during which you may experience a gentle warmth as the light energises your skin cells.
Following treatment, your skin may appear slightly flushed but will quickly settle to reveal a healthy, refreshed glow. LED therapy can be enjoyed as a standalone treatment or combined with other aesthetic procedures to enhance healing, recovery and results. With regular sessions, you can expect visibly brighter, smoother and more balanced skin.
