What is skin boosters?
Skin boosters are an injectable treatment using either needle or cannula and is used to improve skin hydration, elasticity and firmness.
In clinic we use Hydro and Hydromax Hydro skin boosters by Stylage which are made of hyaluronic acid and sorbitol, designed to treat dry skin, fine lines, and wrinkles.
The hyaluronic acid in the products hydrates the skin and stimulates collagen and elastin production and the sorbitol in the products helps fight skin dehydration.
What you need to know
Before beginning treatment with skin boosters, a thorough consultation will be conducted to assess your skin and determine the most suitable product or whether a combination of both Hydro and Hydromax treatments would provide the best results.
Noticeable improvements are typically seen within 1–2 weeks after the initial session, with an additional treatment at 4 weeks recommended for to optimise these results.
Treatment sessions generally last between 40 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
